09/24/2009

CHICAGO, Sep 25, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company (NASDAQ:RRD) announced today that American Honda Motor Co., Inc. President and CEO Tetsuo Iwamura presented the company's Premier Partner Award to RR Donnelley for excellence in providing American Honda with a wide variety of labels that are used in its production processes as well as the Monroney labels that are displayed on all Honda and Acura vehicles sold in the United States. Monroney labels show consumers the manufacturer's base price, standard equipment and other important information. RR Donnelley also supplies Monroney labels to the vehicle maker's operations in Canada and Mexico. RR Donnelley was one of 15 award recipients selected from 46 suppliers nominated by American Honda associates nationwide.

"We are very proud and deeply honored to be recognized with this elite award," said John Paloian, RR Donnelley's Chief Operating Officer. "American Honda has given us the opportunity to work collaboratively with them to provide important products and services for more than 15 years. Our sales, customer service, manufacturing and administrative teams work hard every day to continue earning American Honda's trust."

The Premier Partner Awards were established in 1998 to recognize suppliers who embrace American Honda's philosophy of exceeding customer expectations. This year's award winners represent excellence in a variety of industries including logistics, printing, marketing, consulting, training and much more.

"Today we acknowledge an outstanding group of suppliers who exemplify Honda's philosophy of delivering the highest possible value to our customers through quality products and customer service," said Gary Kessler, American Honda's Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Administration and Corporate Affairs. "While our industry faces incredible challenges, we appreciate the commitment from these dedicated organizations and thank them for their contribution to Honda's success."
